Disturb & Le projet carré

Born from the encounter of four Dijon-based artists having collaborated on the accomplishment of many projects associating electronic music, scratch, video and graphics. The PROJET CARRÉ originates at the end of the year 2005, resulting in a spirits’ quartet united by their passion of show under all angles. Musician followers of the new technologies but respectful of grooves from the past, and at the same time, digital plastic surgeon and image exhibitors, these guys make the most of the listener’s senses to lead them out into a world full of beats, pixels and foursquares...

Epileptic rhythmics distilled in a mix of massive basses with drum’n’bass emanations interrupted by dark break beat atmospheres attended by acid scratches.

On stage, this dark and explosive cocktail is enriched by the personal productions of DISTÜRD and the sharp scratches of his stooge DEE JULI’ONE. The chaotic videotapes of HUGGY2, mad creator, and the pictures of ONI-BI take us in an arcane stroll through geometry.

Since its beginning this crew has had the good luck to share the stages with Radio Bomb, Birdy Nam Nam, Alek Empire, Ez3kiel, Interlope, 69db, Jamalski, Dual Snake, la Phaze, Gelstat, Twelve, Cristal Distortion and Le Lutin ...

Falling in the drum’n’bass marmite during a visit to London in 1998, DJ DISTÜRD has paced the scenes of concert halls, festivals and free-parties for 8 years.

Organizer of electro parties with the Tabazdrü association (1998-2002), and pillar of the group Shrink Orchestra since 2002; DISTÜRD proceeds with energy and tenacity of one-man performances and the collective adventures.

Influenced by Bad Company, Aphex Twin, Radio Bomb, or even Robert Le Magnifique and Saul Williams, his mixes teeters between drum’n’bass, break beat and jungle ragga where he then incorporates his own productions.

He initiated this new release where he successfully lays on CD the huge adrenaline charge which he throws out each time that he takes to the decks with a devastating sound. This reminds us of the sound-systems’ vibration with the amps on the limit of rupture, these furious beats drive us in the party’s core.
