Artist, Submitted by ozore on Tue, 04/17/2007 - 08:05.

When he was 17 years old, he decided that music would be at the heart of his life. Guitarist, singer, percussion-player, author and fierce composer with various influences (from Metallica, to Thiéfaine passing by Bob Marley and Noir Désir...), he refused until he was 25 to enter the electronic music universe.
Reactions were first made at a festival during a Trance rave in 1999. Everything quickly came after with the creation of the TesT association in May 2000, of which the objective was clear: to organize jungle, techno, hardcore...and ultimately parties.
He couldn’t resist the decks appeal for long; he wedged his first vinyles in September of the same year and set to work on the mix as he had done before with his guitar... with quick progression at the end.
The rest is indivisible of the TesT organisations (become crew’s) adventure during 3 years; the residence on his parties will make him passing by varied and diverse clubs (Le 287 Studio, Le Gibus, Le Divan du Monde, Le Batofar, Le Tryptique, Le Nouveau Casino, La Loco...). From raves to concerts halls (Le Plan, La Scène Vernouillet, La Grange à Musique, La Flèche d' Or...) and a raft of Paris-based bars (La Pointe Lafayette, Le Zorba, Le Triangle, Le Meli Sand, L' Abracadabar, Le KtaBar...). During this period, from party to party, from work hour to work hour, Béru has been hardening himself to the decks...

In 2002 he caught up with the Teknomad who practised in free-partys, that permitted him to reach some disproportional sound walls during teknivals, free-parties and big concerts halls. This same year, he became resident at the Ozore Age parties (record labels ELF, XUNK... with artists such as Les Boucles Etranges, Radiobomb, Jamalski, Radium, Empatysm...).
In 2003, he constituted the Crash TesT label (Hardcore), and the Jungle TesT label (jungle-drum’n’bass) following the encounter with Francky Brown who is its spearhead artist. Béru also participated modestly to the composition of one Francky’s tracks (Warning, Jungle TesT 02).
2004-2005 have to be put under the sign of him opening to other styles: “new school beak beat” mixes, mix and production of hardcore tracks under the assumed name of Dr Drake Ramoray, and the mixing of a tekno/brek compilation for Ozore Age (PIAS distribution).
Still resident of the TesT parties which today are nationally widepread with dates in province (Bretagne, Grand Est, Picardie, Centre...). A lot of organizers appreciate the very personal sound that he has developed with his decks: efficiency without compromise, technique and precision, a very personal selection going from ragga to the breakcore borders which always has surprises from rock and punk to dancehall.
Today he has imposed himself as an incontrovertible DJ everywhere in France and even beyond: Parc des Expos of Mans, Alençon and Auxerre, La Laiterie, Le Scarabée, Le 4Sans, Le Molodoi, on tour in the Réunion, dates in Suisse, Belgique and the Pelouses Electroniques tour (Orléans – Tours – Paris – Antibes)…
His first album on the drum’n’bass sign is open to many artists with who he has affinities and is being prepared... to be continued
